A little bit about this website, why I created it, what I’m using it for, and how to get in touch.
Who am I? What is This?
I am Nik, just a regular nobody from Coventry, England and this is my little website.
Inspired by link-in-bio type pages, I wanted to create a little simple online place to consolidate my social profiles and things I like, and generally just play about with. I previously tried a few simple link sites; although they do a basic job, their annoying restrictions, feature locking and high prices inspired me to start my own here using my own domain and hosting – more functionality for less money!
So here goes, welcome to my hub at NeptuneHawke.online!
I’m doing this all by myself and trying to make this simple to use and navigate, whether on desktop or mobile. I can’t guarantee it’ll look good or work perfectly on everything but I test it as much as I can on the devices that I use. This site will probably always be a “work in progress”, so everything including themes, designs, images, layout and features might change a lot as I develop it or play around with it (there may be random functions, elements, stock photos and general weirdness at times as it adapts).
Any suggestions from my friends to amend or improve this, please let me know!
My provider for this is Hostinger (there’s a 20% discount on that link if you need their services!) which provides my domains and hosting, on which I’m using WordPress,org Gutenberg system to create my site.
Why NeptuneHawke?
NeptuneHawke is a semi-random unique online name developed with a while ago which I have started to use in places as something instead of my actual name.
Originally used as a Steam name, I’m now using it in more places for a degree of online anonymity.
Neither a nickname nor an alias, it’s just a simple anonymous alternative instead!
